Rev. Norma Edwards:
Norma Edwards is an educator, humanitarian, ordained minister and recognized leader in the fields of spiritual development and community empowerment. She was born in Guyana, South America, educated at the University of London in England and ordained in the USA. She is married to her twin flame, Calvin N. Edwards. Rev. Edwards brings to her work on the planet the results of a thirty-three year spiritual journey across three continents in search of her own spiritual identity. The quest endowed her with the wisdom accumulated from a close walk with God the Creator, seven major spiritual teachers, in Guyana and England, and a life changing Near Death Experience.
Rev. Edwards is devoted to teaching people from all walks of life how to incorporate spiritual principles into daily living. One of her gifts is the innate ability to instruct and initiate practical applications of age-old wisdom teachings. She has an active prison ministry in Washington DC working with inmates who are challenged by drug addiction. She is the founder of The Light and Living Series, a network of spiritual providers, retired Executive Director of Silver Spring Interfaith Housing Coalition and along with her husband founder and director of "Re- Program Your Life," a successful spiritually based intervention process pioneering the use of sound and toning in the recovery process. Under her maiden name of Jennings she became the recipient of The Linowes Leadership Award for her work in community building in the Washington, DC area and, authored the book "Touchstones To Remembering Your Spirit." She is the proud mother of five and grandmother of six.


Carl Hampton
Carl J. Hampton, Psy.D
Clinical Psychologist
Dr. Carl J. Hampton is a results-oriented human service professional with 20 years of experience in clinical service delivery. His specialty is the integration of spiritual orientation into clinical practice. He has worked in community-based programs, institutional and private environments. He also provides services in program systems development. His experience includes but is not limited to the following:
  • Clinical Service Delivery
  • Clinical Training
  • Clinical Supervision
  • Substance Abuse Prevention/Treatment
  • Educational Advocacy
  • Proposal Writing
  • Programs/Systems Development
  • Cultural Competency Development Services

He holds a doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Wright Sate University, Dayton, Ohio, and is licensed in the District of Columbia (PSY1562). He is professionally affiliated to the Association of Black Psychologists.

Brenda E. Samuel,LGSW MAC:
Brenda E. Samuel worked for the District of Columbia Courts for thirty years. She was involved in training all non-judicial staff in various subjects. Ms. Samuel held several positions in the D.C. Courts: Training Officer, Probation Officer, Community Worker, and Addictions Alcohol/Drug Counselor for the probation department. Ms. Samuel is presently the coordinator for the International Graduate University addictions program and past coordinator at the University of the District of Columbia Professional Counseling and Addictions Program, and also is an adjunct professor.

Ms,  Samuel  graduated  from Trinity College,  Washington,  DC  with  a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology/Criminal Justice, received a Masters Degree in  Counseling /Mental  Health  from the  University of the  District  of  Columbia.
Ms. Samuel is an active member on several professional organizations and chairperson of several organizations in the District and is an avid reader.
